My dude and I came to Mah's are we were craving teriyaki food without the wait plus wanting to try out Creamistry afterwards. We arrived around 45 minutes before closing.
Upon walking in it felt like I was at the exact place on Shaw and Marks called Pete's Teriyaki, but nope I was at Mah's in Clovis.
The menu had plenty of food items. I usually get the chicken teriyaki bowl with vegetables when I try new places but I opted for the Katsu chicken which is basically fried chicken. The boyfriend ordered the ribletes which he said mine tasted better.
The staff was very friendly and took our orders. There were people dining in and picking up to go orders. We opted for dine in. Our food was called about 10 minutes later. I tasted the Teriyaki sauce which was bomb dot com and my fried chicken was delicious. It seriously tasted like Pete's! The meat was juicy and flavorful and the sauce was on point.
The dude didn't really like his meal as he preferred mine. I didn't taste his plate as I believe the meat was beef. We both left happy campers. I highly recommend this place if you are in the mood for some delicious teriyaki food. I cannot wait to come back and get my dish again.
Very clean, friendly staff, great for kids as well as adults too! -

Pretty good. Nice quality chicken. Good tempura. It's a bit tucked away. Wish they delivered though.

One word to describe their food...a-MAH-zing...I just wish that I would remember to come here when I'm in the area.
The service is great, very welcoming and they seem to have a lot of regulars...it's easy to see why.
I've been on a couple of occasions, dine in and to-go orders. I've ordered combo plates as well as teriyaki bowls and have been impressed with both.
For my combo meal, teriyaki chicken & beef, the chicken was tender and had a nice charbroiled skin on it and they give you a ton of it. The steak, which was actually steak and not some mystery meat, was grilled to a nice medium and packed with flavor. The portions were generous, although some of the portion consisted of fat chunks on the steak which is why I have to take a star off. A piece or two wouldn't be a deal breaker but there were several that could've almost made a kids meal.
The Tempura veggies that come with the combo were a palate pleaser w/ the crunchy tempura and tender veggies and they give you a few pieces of each, not like some other places that just give you one.
My to-go chicken teriyaki bowl was packed to the brim with rice and white meat chicken, as well as veggies, and had just the right amount of sauce to drizzle all over it. I don't find their teriyaki sauce to be overly sweet like some other places.
A great spot to dine in for lunch or grab n go for work. -

The best beef and chicken teriyaki for a cheap price and large portion. They even give you a side of pickled cucumber free, which taste awesome to balance the salt and savory dish. I didnt finish this plate, the portions are huge ill say again. Please come here and keep this place going. Its kinda far, but worth it. Very friendly! And affordable considering the location.

Across the street my car was getting serviced and went for a quick lunch while I waited. Was not expecting to be mind blown. The Chicken Katsu is the best I've had. Great portions and customer service.
